Pasar Pagi, Gardening, and Condensed Milk

Excitement in Jb is waking up early and going  "shopping" at the pasar pagi.. 



so many fruits!! 

But today's pasar pagi was very disappointing....... :(


Usually, I'll buy my Chai Tau Kueh and Apam Balik.. today, No Apam Balik (okay la can forgive coz yesterday raya haji kan) but NO CHAI TAU KUEH??? 
UNFORGIVABLE!! 
YOU ALSO RAYA MEH CHAI TAU KUEH UNCLE??? :(

So sad but still needed to get something for breakfast.. Don't want people passing out at home from hunger....

Came back home, had a karipap, then decided... 

"Okay I better do some gardening before the sun starts shining in my face and blinding me.... also.. before my mother wakes up and decides to 'supervise' me"



My parents have a mini jungle....

Doesn't help that their neighbour has (literally) a jungle, overgrown lalang and creepers everywhere, think maybe a witch will be moving in soon, such a comfy environment for her, or possibly Dracula, or even a mad scientist.



After clearing up the weeds and all that...

Mother came out just as I was about to clear up.. hahahah YESSSSSSS!!!! saya berjaya!!




Husband and father woke up not long after that and we had breakfast. Father argued with me.. about Condensed milk 



conversation went something like this:

Dad: Why you never use the condensed milk for your Milo? Last time you said MUST have condensed milk??? buy already then never use!!

Me: For tea la father!! not Milo!

Dad: No no you said Milo... you said you asked the Milo van how to make the milo and need to use condensed milk..then need to use ice etc etc...

Me: I've never spoken to the milo van people before

Dad: No no definitely you.

wah lau.. how also cannot win this old man I tell you..  

must be Adik la this one :/

Because for as long as I can remember, I've never liked condensed milk in my Milo le... tea then yes confirm need to pakai condensed milk 

Anyway, got to think about lunch in a bit.....

So after that really long hiatus due to The Eldest's final exams, I finally have the time to sit and blog about absolutely nothing at all.. once again... Oh God the exam stress was really bad for me but then again maybe I brought this onto myself.. by having kids. I know.. I know.. many others would say just let her go and do the exams  but as a parent, shouldn't we help them prepare for it if we know that it would help them a lot more? For me it was the cooking 3-4 meals a day that really made me tired!!!  Coz brain food needs to be shoved into every brain cell for at least a month nearing exam periods....  Now, she can live off junk food for a while.... So far the very few results that she's gotten back are alright.. but then I realized her teacher's kinda have higher expectations than me! And mine are already sky high. Kids, Kids and Kids.

It's Monday. Nothing happened yesterday. It was a typical Sunday in this household. Woke up early, sent the eldest for Taekwondo, came home, did laundry, went out for lunch, came back, was on my Kindle for most of the day.. finished off two books! ( yes I am a bookworm) Eldest has a history project that is due on the 12th.. but she finished it off yesterday so she has time to let her teacher check through it and correct it if there are any mistakes. Have you ever realized that going out, or the prep before going out takes way much longer when you have kids? Before kids.. going out consists of about 10 minutes where you just change your clothes and **poof** you're out the door. After kids.... wake them up, shower the youngest, give them some food in case they get hungry on the way out, pack their water bottles, wonder where your phone is, about to leave then your youngest decides " Oh! Uncle Maurice, Grandma, Additional Ink and Backbone

Today, The 22nd of January, is my Late Uncle Maurice's Birthday... the weather kinda sums up my mood.. gloomy.. rainy... that sorta feeling... I miss him whole lot but I know he's having a blast where ever he is... Happy Birthday Uncle Mau! You Seybok! In conjunction with his birthday, and my Grandma's in March.. also in loving memory of them.. I got this done during the weekend. Blue, is grandma, and it also represents luck...  Red is Uncle Maurice, and it also represents eternal happiness... But I swear the next time I do something that reminds me of someone... THEY ARE NOT GETTING IT IN COLOUR BECAUSE IT REALLY HURTS AND STAB DIE ME.
