Phones and Driving

I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't touch my phone when I'm driving. When my husband drives us, it's a different story.. coz when he drives, I hunt for Pokemon. Gotta catch em all!!

To me, if the person texting needs some really important info, they can always call, and this is why I ALWAYS have my bluetooth connected (for music purposes). Although I really hate talking on the phone while in the car, and rarely pick up calls anyway... It distracts me and my concentration goes out the window!! In reality, calls and texts can wait till you're safely parked.

Karaoke-ing in the car however, DOES NOT REQUIRE CONCENTRATION OF ANY KIND! So sing away!!

A very good example was when I was sending my eldest child to school yesterday. There was this old man, say in his 70's.. I think he received a text and proceeded to BRAKE, STOP (IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREAKING ROAD) AND CHECK HIS TEXT!! Thank God the van behind him was going at a slow speed or it would have been RIP old man.

Then you see those who are constantly talking on their phones while driving.. Is it really so important that you need to risk your life in the process? You get to a turning, and need to use one hand to turn the wheel... For fucks sake, even F1 drivers use BOTH hands while they drive at maddening speeds.

There is one selected group that reallllly amazes me, and these are the people who talk on their phones, have a cigarette in their other hand and are still driving! How is this humanly possible? are you an OCTOPUS?

But really, the worst ones are those who are on their phone, driving, WITH THEIR CHILD IN THEIR LAP! Just wtf?!! have you not heard of SAFETY? Child Seats? Honestly, who still does this? 

We're in 2018 where there are probably a million cars on the road at the same time.. it takes a split second for an accident to happen.. heck it could even happen when you're changing the radio station!! 

Have we not seen enough accidents and deaths caused by being on the phone? Or are we just thinking "Nahhh.. won't happen to me" [it bloody well will if you continue!]

Well, wake up and smell the shit, coz when it does happen, it will be too damn late, and then all you'll be is a pulp of bones and blood. 

STOP TEXTING/TALKING ON THE PHONES PEOPLE!! 

For the sake of yourselves! and the rest of us who want to live long and prosper.
