Tattoos, Lina David and Friendship
Hmm, where to start...
Well, I have actually been drawn to tattoos since I was about 14.. they always amazed me but back then they were always associated with Gangsters..
Even so, I knew that one day I would get one myself.. and would probably have an entire left sleeve before I died... it's on my bucket list!
During a trip to Thailand (I was actually supposed to get one there but chickened out coz the places I went to didn't seem to be clean.. my kinda clean) I sent a text to my cousin Adam who is somewhat involved in the tattoo scene.. he sent me a link..
He said "This one is Lina's work...See if you like her designs first"
I clicked on the link and saw her designs.. My heart went
"She's the one"
Adam then passed me Lina's number and I contacted her
You know sometimes there are human beings out there that you can just click with?
Lina was one of them.. we started talking like we've known each other for 20 years or more..
Came back from Thailand, set an appointment and met up with Lina..
All I said to her about the design before the appointment was "world map"
All in all took about 1.5 hours? and honestly, the first thing people ask me is "Not pain meh???"
Really, not pain wan... like little scratches.. its just the buzzing noise that frightens you more actually.. the actual inking process, on a scale of 1-10.. I would probably rate it a 2.5..
My world map
and the bible verse I live by
For those of you who have been wondering what Philippians 4:13 is..
It means
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"
This was one of the verses that managed to stick in my head ever since confirmation classes and I live by it.. I have managed to overcome many many obstacles in life, because He gave me the strength to do so.
Anyway, back to My Tattoo Artist.........
Lina David
This saiko woman right here
[sorry babe hahahahhahahahah it was on your Fb page so I curi from there]
She's one tough nut and she doesn't take crap from anyone.. I asked her about numbing cream one time and she said
"Why want to get tattoo if you don't want to earn it thru the pain"
She takes pride in her work and you can see it from her designs
Hang on, let me show you some of the work she's done.
What I like most about her work is that.. she's super clean and her designs are really neat and clear!
After my session , I thought okay la.. see her and talk to her again next time..
I was wrong..
We chat on WhatsApp and continue to do so till today..
I think we have already crossed that line of customer/tattoo artist and are now considered friends.
Well at least I consider her to be a good friend.. I swear I tell her almost everything that happens and she knows my kids really well too.. we also talk a lot about food hahahahha
Right then, for those who are interested in getting a tattoo..
Lina is currently inking at

contact number:
03-2011 4999
my advice:
1. please don't get your boyfriend/ girlfriend's names
2. think of something that you want to have with you for life
3. I heard laser therapy to remove the tattoo is actually more expensive so we can actually get more tattoos with that money
4. IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET YOUR TATTOO DONE BY LINA.
SHE'S SUPERHUMAN
YOU SCRATCH, SHE WILL KNOW
[it itches like MAD on the 3rd day onwards]
YOU DON'T PUT OINTMENT.. SHE WILL KNOW
YOU SCRATCH.. GONE LA...
