Mooncakes, Trust and Friends.

Oh God I love mooncakes and recently The Youngest has taken a liking to them too!

I love the pure lotus ones.. can't stand those with the yolk.. The Brother in law however loves the yolk and so The Sister has to get those with the yolk so both of them will puas hati.

But the prices!! O.M.G.
Like made from gold

Have you seen the prices?

Pure lotus can be priced anywhere from RM15 - RM22 (depending on which shopping center you are at)

I am going to be patient and wait another 10 days then buy buy buy!!

They sell them off at ridiculously cheap prices on the day and after mooncake festival!

I remember getting one for RM5 last year.
Heaven

Mooncake is something we (F4) enjoy.. and this is why whenever I see Mooncakes, I think of them.

I have this group of friends, we're called F4..
There's Jen, Joy, Thipa and myself..

We met online, in a so called FB mummy group.. basically just selling and buying stuff till I got blocked because admin was a little cuckoo.

I don't know how this happened, oh the friendship, not the blocking, coz who cares about crap like that anyway.

We started tagging each other in posts in that group, then suddenly adding each other on FB..

I remember when Jen added me on FB.. I was like "Who is this saiko woman!!!" but clicked accept anyhow...

I was friends with Joy way before that because I ordered her nyonya kueh.. to die for.

I don't remember how Thipa came into the picture but I'm guessing it was the post about Bacon.

Next thing I know, we're exchanging numbers and jeng jeng jeng..
WhatsApp group was formed.

Our first gathering was at Jen's house.. Can you imagine.. Jen was so trusting that she just let us gather at her house.. when we've never even met...

Thipa was all skema with her Hello (shakes hands)

While the 3 of us were like Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii (hugggsssss)

Hugging strangers I tell you!!!!

First time for everything.

Lucky none of us turned out to be serial killers (yet!!!)

The 4 of us have been through so much together..

Depression.. (still ongoing)
Pregnancy..
Birth...
Birthdays...
Deaths...
Dengue...
Exam and school stress...

We fight, we argue, we kacau each other to no end..

But lately, the whatsapp group has been a little quiet...

In our first year as friends, we could chat till midnight... Anyone who slept earlier than that was considered "Old" hahahaha

We're in our second year of Friendship.. Thipa appears and disappears.. but we still wait for her to come back to us when she's ready although I tend to give her hell for it after... Jen has a 5 month almost 6 month newborn plus Aiden, and her catering to do..and Joy, well she's got her hands full with Tim and Ian!

Sometimes there are texts and I think the last time we all really sat down and had a chat together was In December 2017

We use to make it a habit of meeting up once a month.. then you know.. the reality of life happens and it gets difficult.

I still don't understand.. How we trusted each other so easily?
How 4 people, who were perfect strangers, formed a bond so strong that just by reading what the other one is saying, you can sense something tak kena

Even the kids have asked this question... I remember Ian asking Joy.. "Mummy, have you all been friends since young? all of you are so close"

Then there's the time The Eldest asked me "Mummy, you all fight already ah? We hardly see each other anymore"

I had to explain to her the reality of how everyone is caught up with their lives at the moment but we should soon be able to ease back into the monthly meet ups when The Smiley is bigger.

It wasn't only us that bonded, the kids.. oh the kids.. they bonded so well it was crazy!!

Chuck them all in a room leave them there.

When we get together it's yap yap yap yap yap yap laugh laugh laugh
And makan.

I for one believe that God somehow randomly chucks people into your life for a reason..

It's like how you have different friends from different era's of your life.. school friends, uni mates, colleagues, and then there's this special batch of people just chucked into the mix so that you know you have friends for life.

With these girls, yeap I dare say they will be my friends for life.. you really think I have a choice? say no later kena marah

I love you girls to bits, and we'll see each other soon enough

Now I need to go sidai baju

OH WAIT, HAHA ALMOST FORGOT...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE DUNCAN!!!!!
