Aches, Pains and Disaster
Sigh
With age comes all sorts of aches and pains.. and this is why I have been away for the past 5 days.
It started on Saturday when I had a massive back pain due to my period.. It use to hurt a little but now it's like LIE DOWN OR FEEL LIKE DYING kinda pain.. So The Husband took The Eldest to her friend's birthday party while I sat home with The Youngest.. rather I was lying on the bed with my Kindle while she did what she wanted to
Then Sunday, felt this pain that went all the way from my left ear right to my shoulder! Gah. hurt like mad and when I Googled, the result was?
"YOU ARE HAVING A HEART ATTACK"
NEVER GOOGLE YOUR SYMPTOMS BECAUSE YOU WILL EITHER HAVE CANCER OR ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A HEART ATTACK
Worried me to no end and I was actually frightened to fall asleep!
Just in case I didn't wake up.
Got up on Monday, and The Husband is down with a horrid flu... I decided since the pain was still there, I'd better go get it checked.
Went to see the Dr and she gave me some pain killers for day and a muscle relaxant for night.... Told her I Googled it and she said can't be as I didn't have any other signs of a heart attack..
Sometimes you can't help but worry, especially if you come from a family with massive heart problems kinda history... Dad's side has tons! 2 uncles had bypass, dad had stenting done about a year ago..2 uncles passed away from heart attacks/failure.. and my granddad too....
This morning however, I'm feeling alright. It kinda hit me yesterday while I was reading on my Kindle.. It could have been due to this because when I read I tend to just simply lie down or sit and read at awkward angles... Been reading lots lately so there, this might have caused the pain...
It's still worrying.. well mainly because they say women get different symptoms of heart attack compared to men... and a bloody shoulder ache which extends to the arm is one of them.. ah.. mine didn't go downward.. it went upward haha
But still, think it's time to make some lifestyle changes.
Yesterday, it was all dark and quiet in the afternoon and suddenly out of nowhere this thundering smashing sound started.. we had one of those thunderstorms that was bordering a typhoon/hurricane.
Roofs were flying off everywhere, trees were being uprooted, the winds were at maddening speeds... I wanted to close the sliding door of our house but worried that if I did, the force of the wind might be too strong and it will end up smashing to bits... So left it open and The Cat panicked.. I mean he's so close to the ground that it must have been a frightening experience for him..
WhatsApp started going insane, pictures and videos from all over our area were being sent... There is a KFC nearby Klang Parade.. in one of the videos, you can see how strong the winds were and that it removed the entire roof of KFC which looked like someone was just ripping off paper.... Yes, it was that bad.
Pictures started popping up on Facebook.. Awnings blown off, roofs sent crashing down, cars getting hit by heavy objects, tables and chairs moving and getting blown over by the wind....trees, oh the amount of trees that fell yesterday..... Bomba and MPK had so much clearing up to do after the storm.
watch this video.. well you can actually skip the beginning, start from maybe 30 seconds into it.
Yes, it was worrying.... All the mosquito mesh in my house was taken off by that nutcase wind and rain.
Teachers started sending messages saying the roads to school were mostly inaccessible as trees had fallen and blocked the roads...
When the disastrous weather started, all I could think of was "God, please keep The Eldest safe".... we actually wanted to keep her home yesterday because both The Husband and myself were feeling crappy, but then she realized that she had Math and Science classes on so insisted that she went to school...
Cracked our heads trying to figure out how to get to school to pick her, but The Husband managed to get her safe and sound back home.
Oh, you know children can sense who to bully? yeah, The Husband sent The Eldest to school yesterday.. but before that they went to get our lunch and then to Family Mart where she happily bought udon with oden to be taken to school for recess. Needless to say, her friends were jealous.
Okay well, here's the deal for this blog,
I have yet to receive my latest item to review, but in the mean time I will update when there's something interesting or when I need to rant about something.. otherwise its daily ramblings of boring things and pretty soon my reader count might get to 0
Right then, time to get on with house stuff...
Oh. It's raining. Again.
