The Weekend. Updated.

Weekends are usually spent with family.. and the past weekend we did exactly that!

Woke up on Saturday and thought hmmm.. what do we do today? Weather looked crappy. was either too hot or raining! 

Then a message came in from Shah asking were we having dinner together? As usual the discussion about what to eat lasted longer than deciding if we were going to meet up.. You see, The Cousins try to meet up as often as we can.. It's becoming a habit of meeting up at least once a month but I realized that we ask each other every weekend if we're going for makan... 

Ended up in Sushi Mentai Kota Damansara.. We collectively love this place as the food is great and cheap too!! Usually when we have lunch or dinner there, say 4 of us, the bill comes to about RM54... That includes udon, curry rice dish, salmon head, sushi, green tea, chawanmushi and takoyaki.

THANK YOU SHAH FOR DINNER!!! LAF YOU !!

 Seriously though, if you want to head to Sushi Mentai for lunch or dinner, be there early! Lunch, be there by 12pm.. and dinner by 6pm.. if not the queue tends to get quite crazy and the wait can be somewhat looooooooong.

After dinner, we decided okay we're so stuffed we'd better take a walk.. 

Casually strolled to Sunway Giza.. and it was packed with people!!! Gah! Humans!!! The Eldest cost me a bomb when she walked into Times bookstore.. as she always does no matter which bookstore she goes to.. I may grumble about it but I let her buy the books anyway...

OH!!! AND I FORGOT EARLIER!! 

The escalator at Sunway Giza almost ate The Husband's toes.


Thank God The Husband Managed to remove his foot in time..

Sunday.. oh my Sunday.. I woke up shocked and amazed.. coz when I looked at the time. it said  
11.08am!!! 

Wow... I managed to sleep through my taekwondo alarm.. Amazing... Turned to look and oh.. The Eldest, The Youngest, and The Husband were all still asleep.. What the heck did we do that got us all so tired? Absolutely nothing. So The Eldest missed her Taekwondo class this week.. 

Got everyone up, and went for lunch.. then off to the pet store to get Cat Litter for the annoying cat.. walked about and got some household stuff at Aeon Big, came home, read, went out to get some plants, dinner and on our way back, THUNDERSTORM.

It's been raining like crazy for a week or so now, and everytime it rains, trees get uprooted or their branches break off.. the winds are really strong and we get worried.. if this sort of rain continues, by the end of October, there will be hardly any trees left.

Anyway, my machine is singing and I've got to go get lunch ready for the two kids as The Eldest has extra class today and needs to be in school earlier than usual...

So after that really long hiatus due to The Eldest's final exams, I finally have the time to sit and blog about absolutely nothing at all.. once again... Oh God the exam stress was really bad for me but then again maybe I brought this onto myself.. by having kids. I know.. I know.. many others would say just let her go and do the exams  but as a parent, shouldn't we help them prepare for it if we know that it would help them a lot more? For me it was the cooking 3-4 meals a day that really made me tired!!!  Coz brain food needs to be shoved into every brain cell for at least a month nearing exam periods....  Now, she can live off junk food for a while.... So far the very few results that she's gotten back are alright.. but then I realized her teacher's kinda have higher expectations than me! And mine are already sky high. Kids, Kids and Kids.

It's Monday. Nothing happened yesterday. It was a typical Sunday in this household. Woke up early, sent the eldest for Taekwondo, came home, did laundry, went out for lunch, came back, was on my Kindle for most of the day.. finished off two books! ( yes I am a bookworm) Eldest has a history project that is due on the 12th.. but she finished it off yesterday so she has time to let her teacher check through it and correct it if there are any mistakes. Have you ever realized that going out, or the prep before going out takes way much longer when you have kids? Before kids.. going out consists of about 10 minutes where you just change your clothes and **poof** you're out the door. After kids.... wake them up, shower the youngest, give them some food in case they get hungry on the way out, pack their water bottles, wonder where your phone is, about to leave then your youngest decides " Oh! Uncle Maurice, Grandma, Additional Ink and Backbone

Today, The 22nd of January, is my Late Uncle Maurice's Birthday... the weather kinda sums up my mood.. gloomy.. rainy... that sorta feeling... I miss him whole lot but I know he's having a blast where ever he is... Happy Birthday Uncle Mau! You Seybok! In conjunction with his birthday, and my Grandma's in March.. also in loving memory of them.. I got this done during the weekend.
