Awards, Hospital, School Holidays, Birthdays and Mimi Zarina The Science Teacher

Wow, it's been a while since I've updated and these are the reasons why.

Remember in my last post I mentioned that all of us were down with that food poisoning/ stomach bug?

Well, it didn't just stop there but I'll get to that in a minute.

November 22nd, the day The Eldest did us all proud.. woke her up at about 11am and told her to have a shower and have her lunch as we were going to her Award Ceremony at 2pm..

First question she asks me.. "Mummy... today wear uniform ah?"

OH MY GOODNESS CHILD!! this isn't her first award ceremony either!!!

Anyway, got there about 2.30pm and she was due to go on stage about 3pm-ish..

These were the awards she received.

She really outdid herself this time bagging so many awards and 5 out of 6 core subjects too!

Super proud parent  moment.

Was hilarious when she went up on stage to get the awards as she had to do a balancing act so that she wouldn't drop any of her trophies.

Came home then The Youngest started throwing up again so we went to the clinic and got her some medication, along with a referral letter in case things got bad.

Following day, things got bad.

Rushed to the hospital and she got poked in the hand for the iv line.. She wasn't a happy child...

We were discharged on Friday but that was short lived and checked back into KPJ.

Did an xray and ultrasound, and they found out that her intestines were jammed up.. basically really severe constipation so whatever she eats, comes back out as puke.

Tons of meds later, we come home and she's fine now because I've started her on probiotics and also fiber containing vitamins.

Then, the school holidays came along and man I've never been so tired.. we went to the back to school sale, bought 2 pairs of shoes for RM94.
2 PAIRS!!! FOR RM94!!!
THEY HAD BETTER HAVE SOME GOLD IN THEM.
And these were the "cheaper" option too!!

On Sunday, we went to get her textbooks. Yes I am somewhat anal and do not take the textbooks from school as the look and smell that comes with them can be somewhat nauseating.

Textbooks plus revision books total? RM213.

Madness!! We could have gotten it for free from school (textbooks, not the revision books)
but I'd much rather The Eldest get all excited seeing her new textbooks then looking at them and going "I wonder how many billion/trillion germs are on them"

Textbooks are all wrapped up and looking pretty, shiny and new.

No I do not keep the books at the end of the year. I donate them to her school.

Will be needing to go to school on the 17th to find out what other books will be needed and if I remember correctly, last year, it was around RM181. I'm so gonna cut off whatever that is not needed this time!

So total for December, Back to school stuff, Birthdays and Christmas = BANKRUPTCY.

God help me.

It was Maria's birthday on the 1st!! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY EVEN THO I WISHED YOU THEN

And today, well today is someone else's birthday...

THE SISTER.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY REALLY ANNOYING SISTER WHOM I LOVE TO DEATH BUT ALSO IRRITATES ME TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH.

OH AND ALSO TO AIDEN!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR BOY!! ENJOY THE BEACH!!

Last night, we found out a bit of happy, and sad news...

Good news, The Eldest will be getting a new Principle.

Bad news, She will be losing her Science teacher as her transfer has been approved.

Dearest Teacher Mimi

It really saddens me that you are leaving
but we know that it will be much easier for you to get to school
and to settle Naa'il for kindy.
At least you won't get stuck in massive traffic jams now...

Thank you for all that you have done for The Eldest..
Your patience and guidance have made her a much better person.
She will remember all the times you kacau-ed her in class...
And I'm sure you will remember all the mischief she's done too...

We will miss you and hope to see you sooner rather than later...

All the best for your first appearance at your new school...
You got this....
Soon, you will have many new students that adore the living daylights out of you..
Just as these kids here have, and will continue to do so..

We wish you the best, and don't forget, we're only a message away :)

Ookay!! I need to go wake the kids up as we've got to go to the hospital for The Youngest punya appointment at 10am!!

Take care everyone....
