Chit Chat This That

So we were in Thailand during the weekend but we couldn't enjoy much as one by one we were attacked by the bloody Bacterial infection..  Vomiting and the runs..  Started with The Husband, then The Eldest, Myself and then The Youngest... Rushed back to see the Dr and we have a mini pharmacy at home right now.  The Husband and the Youngest are still not feeling too good so there's me, keeping watch like a hawk. I feel like a zombie. Every time I try to sleep and The Youngest makes a sound, I wake up and check on her.  Then there's the Fat Orange cat who freaking meows outside our door because he's an attention seeker. Had to use all the patience in me not to throw him out of the house this morning. Yesterday, The Eldest went for her Award Ceremony.. This morning, I woke up and saw this: How? Why? What?  Are people really so mental these days that they take out their sexual tension on infants? On kids? What kind of psychopaths are these so called human beings... She's 9 months old... can you imagine? Even adults who get raped go through massive trauma (if they survive and not get murdered in the process).. Can anyone imagine what sort of pain a 9 month old baby girl had to go through? No one. Not you. Not me. No one will ever know. How do parents find a proper babysitter for their child? Like the mum of this girl said, when she went to visit the babysitter, all was fine and good.. because the babysitter's husband was not around while she was there... maybe if she saw his bloody face it would have made a difference.  For me, I honestly don't trust anyone with my kids.. That's why I've been a stay at home mum for 10 years now and I'm not going to go back to the hectic life of work anytim...

That was a fantastic long weekend!!! Deepavali was great. Had a BBQ and The Sister, Brother in Law, Uncle and cousins came by...  made lots of noise, ate a great deal of food, laughter, annoying each other... the usual stuff.. I love it when we get together... you know how they say that your siblings and cousins are your first friends? Well, that's true!! Of course, now that we're older.. the even older generation gets teased and annoyed to no end... Just ask Uncle Duncan... kena kacau maximum on Tuesday hahahahhahahahah I had to disappear halfway thru as was feeling like crap thanks to all the garlic I had to breathe in while The Husband was preparing marinades and stuff.. Think I'm a vampire... Whole body just felt like it was going to explode and nostrils hurt... Am okay now but next time there's a ton of garlic involved, I'm gonna wear a face mask. I have been observing people with more than 2 kids lately, and weirdly most of these kids see...

Can you watch horror/supernatural flicks on tv or at the movies?  I can't.. or rather I won't.. I've actually never watched a horror film (I think) Unless you count Psycho and The Shining which I was forced to watch in Uni for Film and Television... Hated every minute of it!!!  Imagine needing to do research on them after that.. gave me nightmares for a good week or so..  I know many people who love horror films.. and then have trouble sleeping for the next month.. and going to the toilet requires a whole bus load of followers "just in case" Why? Why do people do that to themselves? Then start sleeping with the lights on, and paying double their electricity bill?!!! Is it the thrill of getting scared? Kesian  your heart wei.... So after that really long hiatus due to The Eldest's final exams, I finally have the time to sit and blog about absolutely nothing at all.. once again... Oh God the exam stress was really bad for me but then again maybe I brought this onto myself.. by having kids. I know.. I know.. many others would say just let her go and do the exams  but as a parent, shouldn't we help them prepare for it if we know that it would help them a lot more? For me it was the cooking 3-4 meals a day that really made me tired!!!  Coz brain food needs to be shoved into every brain cell for at least a month nearing exam periods....  Now, she can live off junk food for a while.... So far the very few results that she's gotten back are alright.. but then I realized her teacher's kinda have higher expectations than me! And mine are already sky high. Thing is, we know she can do it.. we know she can score fantastically IF SHE STOPS HER SILLY MISTAKES PHASE. God, please le...

Ola!! Well honestly, there isn't much to blog about these days other than the RAIN.. Also because The Eldest is due for her Final Exams in about 9 days so there's a mad rush of trying to stuff every bit of information into her head by then Not an easy task, but someone's gotta do it... Mother's in general, working or stay at home, tend to go ballistic when it's nearing the exam period.. why? because we want them to do well!!!  And many times, it can get frustrating as hell... especially when you've specifically told them  REMEMBER IT THIS WAY SO YOU DON'T MAKE THIS SILLY MISTAKE... Weekends are usually spent with family.. and the past weekend we did exactly that! Woke up on Saturday and thought hmmm.. what do we do today? Weather looked crappy. was either too hot or raining!  Then a message came in from Shah asking were we having dinner together? As usual the discussion about what to eat lasted longer than deciding if we were going to meet up.. You see, The Cousins try to meet up as often as we can.. It's becoming a habit of meeting up at least once a month but I realized that we ask each other every weekend if we're going for makan...   Ended up in Sushi Mentai Kota Damansara.. We collectively love this place as the food is great and cheap too!! Usually when we have lunch or dinner there, say 4 of us, the bill comes to about RM54... That includes udon, curry rice dish, salmon head, sushi, green tea, chawanmushi and takoyaki. THANK YOU SHAH FOR DINNER!!! LAF YOU !!  Seriously though, if you want to head to Sushi Mentai for lunch...

Neighbours are funny creatures don't you think? When God said LOVE THY NEIGHBOURS...  He clearly didn't realize what idiots homosapiens would turn out to be. Take yesterday for instance... Sent The Eldest to school and when I reached home, parked the car, took The Youngest out of her car seat then my neighbour decided to ask me: "This one also yours ah?" while pointing at The Youngest I gave her a really 'what are you talking about' kinda face and said Yeah.... When my brain was actually telling me to say  "Oh no, found her at the side of the road and decided to pick her up and bring her home" Then she says "Oh, so you have 2 kids?"... Yes aunty, I have 2 kids. Okay well, give her the benefit of the doubt because they kinda just moved in on Sunday. Thunderstorm wise, it's hitting different areas everyday. Sigh With age comes all sorts of aches and pains.. and this is why I have been away for the past 5 days. It started on Saturday when I had a massive back pain due to my period.. It use to hurt a little but now it's like LIE DOWN OR FEEL LIKE DYING kinda pain.. So The Husband took The Eldest to her friend's birthday party while I sat home with The Youngest.. rather I was lying on the bed with my Kindle while she did what she wanted to Then Sunday, felt this pain that went all the way from my left ear right to my shoulder! Gah. hurt like mad and when I Googled, the result was?  "YOU ARE HAVING A HEART ATTACK" NEVER GOOGLE YOUR SYMPTOMS BECAUSE YOU WILL EITHER HAVE CANCER OR ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A HEART ATTACK Worried me to no end and I was actually frightened to fall asleep!  Just in case I didn't wake up.  Got up on Monday, and The Husband is down with a horrid flu... I decided since the pain was still there, I'd better go get it ...

Just Googled "How many days till Christmas" and OMG 90 days left!! Haven't got a clue what to get for who!! I love Christmas.  I really really really do! I get to see most of my family then and spend the day just insulting each other, eating, opening presents, talking, laughing.. and then the cousins start drinking and all hell breaks loose. Christmas's as a child was so amazing!  Everyone would travel back to JB and on Christmas eve we would all be at Grandma's for dinner..  It was such a kanchiong  time where we would be waiting for cars to arrive..
